For the cinnamon rolls
- ¾ cup milk warm
- 1½ tbsp lemon juice
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 tbsp dry yeast
- 2¼ flour (extra to dust the pan)
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- a pinch of salt
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp butter (extra to brush on the pan)
For the Filling
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon powder
- 3 tbsp butter melted
For The Glaze
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp water
- Heat the milk so that it is just lukewarm
- To that, add the lemon juice
- Mix and set aside for 5 minutes
- After 5 minutes, add the sugar
- And mix it in.
- Then, add the yeast.
- Give it a mix, cover and let it rest in a warm place for about 10 minutes.
- This is how the yeast mixture will look like after 10 minutes.
- To a bowl, add the flour.
- Then, add the baking powder.
- Next, add the baking soda.
- Finally, add the salt.
- Mix everything together.
- To the flour, add the yeast mixture
- Add the vegetable oil.
- And finally, add the melted butter.
- Knead the dough for about 10-15 minutes, till the dough comes together.
- This is how it looks like after kneading.
- Cover the dough and let it rest in a warm place for at least half an hour.

- Turn it out onto a surface
- Flatten it out with your hands.
- Then, using a rolling pin, roll it so the dough is ¼ inch thick.
- Set aside
- These are the ingredients for the filling.
- To a bowl, add the brown sugar
- Then, add the butter.
- Next, add the cinnamon.
- And mix everything together.
- Spread this mixture onto the rolled out dough
- From one end, start rolling the dough and pack it as tightly as possible
- Cut it into equal parts.
- Lay down each roll into an oven safe baking dish and let it rise for half an hour

- Bake in a pre heated oven at 180 degrees for 18-20 mins or till the cinnamon rolls have been baked
- Set aside
- Mix the icing sugar and water to make a thick glaze.
- Drizzle this all over the cinnamon rolls
- These cinnamon rolls stay in an airtight container for 3-4 days, and for a week when refrigerated.
